Joel Acevedo is an associate in the New York office of Latham & Watkins. Mr. Acevedo is a member of the Finance Department and the Banking Practice. Mr. Acevedo’s practice focuses primarily on the representation of investment and commercial banks, private equity firms and borrowers in leveraged finance transactions.
Prior to joining Latham, Mr. Acevedo was an associate at other international law firms in New York City, where he represented financial institutions in connection with asset-based and standby-letters of credit backed lending transactions, as well as other clients in asset acquisitions, stock purchases and sales, early-stage capital raises and general corporate matters.
Mr. Acevedo maintains an active pro bono practice, primarily representing non-profit organizations, low-income entrepreneurs and immigration benefit applicants.
