Kamilah Alexander practices intellectual property (IP) law focusing on patent litigation and technology transactions.

Dr. Alexander has experience in a wide array of technological fields including life sciences, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, and medical devices. Along with her broad range of patent litigation experience, Dr. Alexander has performed due diligence for high-technology mergers and acquisitions and worked in all areas of foreign and domestic patent prosecution.

Prior to attending law school, Dr. Alexander worked at an early-stage clinical biotechnology company as a patent manager; in an academic technology transfer office as a licensing intern; and at an IP boutique law firm in Boston, Massachusetts, as a patent agent. Dr. Alexander also spent a year as an AAAS Science Policy Fellow at the National Institute on Aging, National Institutes of Health.

With a technology background in cell signaling, molecular biology, cell biology, genetics, and cancer biology, Dr. Alexander’s experience includes tissue culture, immunofluorescence, flow cytometry, microscopy, and protein biochemistry.

While earning her doctorate degree, Dr. Alexander conducted research on the cell signaling pathways involved in cellular senescence and cancer development.
